The services of tour guides are exempt from VAT. The service is subject to a withholding tax which, according to the Italian regulation (item n. 25 del Dpr 600/1973), must be paid to the government by payers (i.e. travel agents, PCOs) located and/or paying income taxes in Italy. In the event the payer does not pay income taxes in Italy, the equivalent amount of the withholding tax will be added to the official rate. It will be however the tourist guide’s responsibility to pay the related income taxes to the government.

Tour lengths

• Full day is up to 6 hours, excluding a lunch break that will be no longer than 2 hours.
• Half day is 3 hours.
• Each supplementary hour will be charged at a € 25.00 hourly rate.
• For events and/or tours that last less than a half-day, the hourly rate is €50.00.
• The tour begins from the moment the guide meets up with her clients. .
• For full day tours, the client is expected to pay for the guide’s lunch.
• Any eventual expenses for entry tickets and/or transportation for the guide (which will be coordinated beforehand) are paid for by the client.
• If the number of participants is not communicated to the guide ahead of time, the prices will be calculated based on 30 people.

Annullamenti:

• For cancellations within 48 hours of the tour, 90% of the full tour price will be paid to the guide.
• For cancellations within 7 days of the tour, 50% of the full tour price will be paid to the guide.
