A stroll through Parma’s historic city centre, exploring its art, history, and culture. The tour begins with a visit to the Palazzo della Pilotta, a symbol of the Farnese dynasty and home to the Teatro Farnese, inaugurated in 1628 on the occasion of the wedding of Odoardo I Farnese and Margherita de’ Medici. A stop in front of the monument dedicated to the great composer Giuseppe Verdi, followed by an introduction to the Teatro Regio, Parma’s renowned 19th-century opera house commissioned by Duchess Maria Luigia, wife of Napoleon. A visit and brief stop in Piazza Garibaldi, the site of the ancient Roman forum, dominated by the majestic Palazzo Municipale.

Walking along Via Cavour, we will reach the enchanting Piazza Duomo, home to the magnificent Romanesque Cathedral, whose interior features the stunning frescoed dome by Correggio. The final stop is the stunning Baptistery, built in Verona pink marble between 1196 and 1216.
